Florida SBDC Network Launches Florida Entrepreneurial Nexus

Florida SBDC Network State Office (Pensacola, Fla.) – The Florida Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network, the state’s principal provider of small business assistance, is proud to announce a new initiative aimed at advancing entrepreneurialism and resources across the Sunshine State: the Florida Entrepreneurial Nexus

The Florida Entrepreneurial Nexus is designed to facilitate collaborative connections and provide invaluable support to Florida's small business community. By leveraging existing solutions and tapping into a robust ecosystem, the Nexus will empower entrepreneurial organizations with the tools and resources they need to thrive.

“We are thrilled to launch the Florida Entrepreneurial Nexus as a vital resource for Florida's small business support community,” said Greg Britton, state director of the Florida SBDC Network. “By fostering collaboration, we aim to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem in our state and support the growth of small businesses across industries.”

With over 1100 assets already integrated into the ecosystem, the Florida Entrepreneurial Nexus offers a comprehensive online resource for small business owners and resource providers alike. Entrepreneurial assets available to entrepreneurs and small business owners include:

  • Innovation partners, including tech runways and alliances
  • Economic and business development organizations
  • Business consulting/mentorship providers
  • Financial and funding partners, including banks, lenders, angel investors, and venture capital funds

Powered by the ecosystem intelligence AI software company EcoMap Technologies, the Florida Entrepreneurial Nexus will offer assets as well as entrepreneurs a centralized hub for connecting with resources around the state. Through connections with organizations and resources across Florida, the Nexus will provide a connection point for Florida’s robust entrepreneurial ecosystem and strengthen knowledge and support for businesses across the state.

“The Florida Entrepreneurial Nexus marks a significant and innovative shift in how to approach ecosystem building. By digitizing and centralizing Florida’s entrepreneurial resources, we’re not just connecting dots – we’re creating a living, breathing network that can adapt and grow with the needs of Florida’s business community. This is about turning data into actionable intelligence that drives real economic impact,” said Sherrod Davis, co-founder and CEO of EcoMap Technologies.
