ACTIVATED: U.S. SBA Business Physical Disaster Loan

The SBA’s Business Physical Disaster Loan program loans to businesses to repair or replace disaster-damaged property owned by the business, including real estate, inventories, supplies, machinery and equipment. Businesses of any size are eligible. Private, non-profit organizations such as charities, churches, private universities, etc., are also eligible.

Counties: Miami-Dade County, Florida; and the contiguous Florida counties of: Broward, Collier, and Monroe
Deadlines: August 30, 2021

ACTIVATED: U.S. SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan

The SBA’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan program provides capital loans to help small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture, and most private, non-profit organizations of all sizes meet their ordinary and necessary financial obligations that cannot be met as a direct result of the disaster. These loans are intended to assist through the disaster recovery period.

Counties: Miami-Dade County, Florida; and the contiguous Florida counties of: Broward, Collier, and Monroe
Deadline: March 29, 2022

Applying for SBA Disaster Loans

Disaster loan information and application forms may also be obtained by calling the SBA’s Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 (800-877-8339 for the deaf and hard-of-hearing) or by sending an email to disastercustomerservice@SBA.gov. Loan applications can be downloaded from DisasterLoan.SBA.gov. Completed applications should be mailed to: U.S. Small Business Administration, Processing and Disbursement Center, 14925 Kingsport Road, Fort Worth, TX 76155.

Business Damage Assessment Survey

We strongly encourage small businesses impacted by the Surfside Building Collapse to complete the state’s Business Damage Assessment Survey  The survey, administered by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO), is not an application for disaster assistance, but rather assists state officials in determining the extent of impact and need for federal and state disaster assistance.
