Florida SBDC Network State Office (Pensacola, Fla.) – The Florida SBDC Network, the state’s principal provider of business assistance, proudly announces that Greg Britton, state director, has once again been named among Florida’s most influential business leaders by Florida Trend magazine. This marks Britton’s fourth consecutive appearance on the prestigious Florida 500 list.

Each year, Florida Trend recognizes 500 individuals who are shaping Florida’s economy, industries, and communities. The Florida 500 is the result of extensive research by the magazine’s editors, drawing from hundreds of interviews and input from business and economic development organizations across the state.
“It’s an incredible honor to be named once again to the Florida 500 list alongside so many influential leaders across our great state,” said Britton. “At the Florida SBDC, our mission is to help small businesses launch, grow, and thrive. I’m proud to lead a team that works tirelessly every day to strengthen Florida’s economy by supporting the entrepreneurs who drive it.”
Britton has more than 25 years of leadership experience in aviation, medical, oil and gas, and high-tech commercial production manufacturing. He has served as the state director of the Florida SBDC Network since 2021, where he leads the statewide network of more than 225 consultants and staff members across nine regions. In his role, Britton provides strategic vision and oversight in the continued success of Florida’s principal business assistance organization for small and medium-sized businesses.
Before joining the Florida SBDC Network, Britton served as Chief Operations Officer of DEFENSEWERX. He is a former member of the University of West Florida Board of Trustees and State Advisory Board of the Florida SBDC Network.
