The Florida SBDC Network is excited to share a new resource launching soon - the Florida Entrepreneurial Nexus.

The Sunshine State, known for its beautiful beaches and tourism, is also a vibrant hub for innovation and entrepreneurship. In recent years, the state has continued to surpass the nation in the number of business starts. With a business- friendly environment, wealth of resources, diverse industries, and proximity to global trade, Florida has become a burgeoning hotbed for entrepreneurs looking to turn their dream into a reality.

The mission of the Florida Entrepreneurial Nexus is to advance entrepreneurialism and resources through collaborative connections to support growth of Florida’s small business community by leveraging existing solutions to strengthen a robust ecosystem.

The Florida SBDC Network is pleased to launch the first phase of the Nexus - a survey of existing entrepreneurial assets statewide. The Florida SBDC Network is conducting the survey to better understand and catalog the state’s existing entrepreneurial assets. Through the survey, our goal is to better understand initiatives and providers statewide in order to connect entrepreneurs and small businesses with resources and help support a more robust entrepreneurial ecosystem statewide.

Entrepreneurial assets are available to entrepreneurs and small business owners, including:

  • Innovation partners, including tech runways and alliances
  • Economic & business development organizations
  • Business consulting/mentorship providers
  • Financial and funding partners, including banks, lenders, angel investors, and venture capital funds

If you’re an entrepreneurial asset in the state of Florida, we want to hear from you!

We are asking for our state’s entrepreneurial assets to help us foster a more robust business climate by helping to map the existing entrepreneurial assets in the state.

The survey is brief and should take no more than five minutes to take. Take the survey.
