FSBDCN Headquarters - The Florida Small Business Development Center at Florida Gulf Coast University (FSBDC at FGCU) is seeking a Regional Director for the five (5) county area of Southwest Florida. Successful candidates will bring strong leadership skills and a passion for growing Florida's economy through leading, training, and consulting with small and medium-sized business owners and entrepreneurs to create high performing companies.
The FSBDC Regional Director is a visionary leader responsible for the overall strategic planning, administration, coordination, and evaluation of the services to business and industry in the regional area.
The FSBDC fulfills its mission through collaborative working relationships with business and economic development organizations, including the resources of the FGCU Lutgert College of Business; its students, faculty, stakeholders, and other organizations.
The FSBDC Regional Director reports to the Dean of the FGCU Lutgert College of Business, and has a reporting relationship with the CEO and State Director of the Florida SBDC Network.
To be considered, candidates must possess a Master's degree from an accredited institution and six (6) years of experience in general business and small business development. Experience with not-for-profit fundraising and grant writing is required. The ideal candidate will have experience in consulting, finance, and/or accounting with involvement in networking and creating solid business relationships.
The FSBDC at FGCU is a member of the Florida SBDC Network, is based at FGCU Lutgert College of Business, and serves small businesses and entrepreneurs in Lee, Charlotte, Glades, Hendry, and Collier counties.
