Antwan Foster is the owner and president of Integrity Construction Enterprise, a licensed, insured, and bonded general contractor based in South Florida. With over 12 years of experience in management roles for large and small general contractors, Antwan brings corporate expertise into a small business setting.
“At Integrity Construction Enterprise, we specialize in pre-construction services, construction management, and general contracting for residential, commercial, and municipal projects,” Antwan explains. “Our goal is to bring professionalism, quality, and trust to every project. We build with integrity, always.”
Starting with a Vision
Antwan launched his company with a clear mission: to be a contractor clients can rely on, avoiding the frustrations of cost overruns, delays, and uncommitted teams. “Here in South Florida, we’ve seen contractors promise one thing and deliver another,” he says. “We want our clients to know that when we say we’ll show up and perform, we will.”
One way Integrity Construction stands out is through consultation and pre-construction services. Antwan and his team get involved early, providing design cost estimates, guidance on permitting, and realistic project schedules. “Our clients then know a more accurate cost and time frame for their projects without any hidden fees,” he says.
Overcoming Challenges
Starting a small business came with challenges. Resources were limited, and Antwan often found himself wearing many hats. “We have these big ideas, but sometimes you’re a one-man show,” he admits. He solved this by building partnerships, outsourcing accounting, HR, and working closely with trusted subcontractors and trade partners.
“Our biggest success as entrepreneurs is satisfying our clients,” he adds. “We couldn’t do that without our partners; the subcontractors, trade partners, and mentors who support us along the way.”
Mentorship and Support: The Role of SBDC
Antwan credits the SBDC at Florida Atlantic University and his consultant Andrea JohnBaptiste for providing crucial guidance as he grew his business.
“When we first started, Andrea was transparent and honest about what would work and what we needed to reconsider,” Antwan says. “She gave clarity and direction that we really needed. Working with her has been like having a coach, a mentor, and a friend all at once.”
Through SBDC, Antwan learned strategies for business planning, budgeting, networking, and financial management. “This project has been like a baby for us, and we feel like we’re co-parenting it with Andrea and SBDC. Their guidance allowed us to land our first client just a month after starting the business.”
Looking Ahead
Integrity Construction Enterprise is steadily growing. Antwan shares, “Our goal is to continue finding the right clients, the right opportunities, and to meet our target market of $2 million in revenue by the end of 2026.”
He also emphasizes the importance of humility and learning in entrepreneurship: “Business is great when you have a supporting team. Get the right advice, bring in experts, and don’t be afraid to outsource what you can’t do in-house.”
Why Integrity Matters
For Antwan, the company name reflects the personal values he and his wife, Bianca Harris, bring to every project. “We value morals, transparency, professionalism, and quality. Integrity Construction is the perfect name to represent who we are and how we operate.”
He sums it up simply: “Have you ever paid someone to do a job, and they didn’t follow through? That won’t happen with us. We are your trustworthy contractors, and we build with integrity always.”
